An Invitation to Step Into Stillness with Sol

At Sol, yoga is not another thing to accomplish. Our hot yoga practice is a quiet invitation to return to yourself through mindful practice, therapeutic yoga, and a welcoming yoga community in Carmel and Zionsville. Through daily classes and Retreat Weeks, we create space for stillness — not by doing more, but by allowing

It is a quiet invitation to return to yourself — in your own language, your own rhythm, and your own time. Not through doing more, forcing more, or becoming more, but through allowing more.

Allowing the breath to soften.
Allowing the body to open.
Allowing the mind to settle.
Allowing yourself to remember what it feels like to be fully here.

At the heart of Sol it’s a yoga practice, not yoga perfect. Each class is an opportunity to step into stillness — a retreat from the daily noise, speed, and activity of our busy lives. We are not practicing to perfect the visual aesthetic in any poses. We are practicing to recognize the quiet beneath the noise, the presence beneath the performance, and the peace beneath the pressure. Jack Kornfield reminds us, “The present moment is the doorway to true calm.” The heat opens the doorway again and again — dissolving the tension — the integration of breath & movement pull us closer to genuine stillness and awareness. At Sol, the practice is beyond just a workout. It is a heartfelt work in.

Perhaps our origins explain why.  Sol is family-owned and operated by husband and wife, Sky and Matt Andrews. After traveling the world as an active-duty military family, they began working together in 2018 to deepen their yoga practice and open the studio in Carmel, close to Matt’s hometown. Their shared practice is founded on service, community, gratitude, and helping people feel more deeply connected to themselves and one another.  Sol is a practice that has evolved from unity — a shared vision of healthy healing and genuine relationships.

And that is exactly what students describe feeling at Sol.

One student shared:

“The calm and reset I feel afterward, physically and mentally. My body and mind are softer. My mind is more quiet.”

Another described how the practice carried into everyday life:

“I’ve noticed more mindfulness and I am less reactive. I can be more present and self reflective. I’m experiencing more gratitude and appreciation for little moments with family and friends.”

And perhaps most importantly, Sol is a place where students do not have to perform or pretend:

“The practice meets you where you are without judgement. It’s okay if each day or season of life is different for you. Sol allows you to practice with no pressure to be perfect.”

That is the deeper invitation: not perfection, but presence.

And alongside our regular studio practice, our Retreat Weeks offer something just as essential: unstructured time, nourishing rhythms, and the freedom to shape your days as you need them to be.

Whether you feel called to rest, explore, reconnect, move slowly, or simply be, Sol is a space where all of it is welcome.

Because sometimes the deepest practice is not adding more to your life.

Sometimes, it is creating enough space to come home to yourself.
