People Also Asked

Before Class

What Should I Bring to Class?

Bring a yoga mat, a towel, and a filled water bottle. Water is also available for purchase when you check in.

Can I Eat Before Class?

For the most comfortable practice, avoid eating for 1–2 hours before class. Notice how different foods and fluids affect your experience.

How early should I arrive before class?

Arriving 15 minutes early allows time to check in, store belongings, and acclimate to the studio's environment. It also gives you a few minutes prior to class, just to unplug.

What should I wear for Hot Yoga?

Choose comfortable, breathable, moisture-wicking clothing that allows you to move safely and freely.

Is there a place for my personal belongings?

We offer cubbies to store your phones and bags during class. It's recommended to lock valuables in your car. We also lock the entry doors during class, and common areas are monitored by security cameras. Please ensure mobile devices, including smartwatches, are turned off or set to silent mode to avoid disruptions during class.

Am I healthy enough to practice yoga?

Please stay home if you have symptoms of a contagious illness, a persistent cough, or a temperature above 99.5°F. Tell the front desk and instructor about conditions that may affect your practice. It is always okay to pause or modify. There's no time better to start than right now.

Hydrate Before and During Class

Begin hydrating 60–90 minutes before class. Bring a filled water bottle; electrolytes can also be helpful.

During Class

Noble Silence

Please refrain from talking once you enter the yoga room. Use the hallway to visit with friends before class.

Does it matter where I place my mat in the yoga studio?

Choose a row that supports your practice, respect neighboring mat space, and avoid walking across another person's mat.

Can I Take Breaks During Class?

Absolutely. Use the scheduled water breaks, or pause in a resting posture whenever needed. Listen to your body and return when you feel ready.

What is an Intention?

In every class, we take a few moments of silence to set an "intention." It's a way to focus the energy you want to emerge through your practice. It's not about performance. It can simply be a thought of peace, genuine gratitude, or a dedication to someone who needs a little love—even yourself. After placing your mat, take a moment to allow your mind to settle.

How hot is it?

Respect the Heat. Bring an extra towel if needed, listen to your body, and work without straining or comparing your practice to someone else's.

What are those strange odors?

Likely the exhaust from restaurants next door. But, just to be safe, please avoid strong perfumes, colognes, makeup, and heavily scented products. Warmth can intensify fragrances.

Why are some people doing different postures?

Please, No Freestyling. Our practice is not about performance, and although unintentional, a free flow can be distracting, unsafe, and misleading for newer students. Please follow the instructor's cues unless you are modifying due to a physical injury or limitation. This is especially important in Hatha, which is focused on proper alignment and stability. In Vinyasa, as time allows, there may be time for advanced postures and expressions.

What is Savasana and what does Namaste mean?

Savasana is the final posture of stillness—simply lying on your back. All of the postures are designed to prepare us for this posture. Please respect the stillness and the others in the space. The greatest sign of respect might be to offer "Namaste" to close the class. It is a Sanskrit word that lacks a direct translation to English, but you might think of it as a humble bow to yourself, the others in the room, and the instructor. Choosing to remain silent is also an appropriate response.

After Class

What do I do with my sweaty stuff?

When leaving, move quietly, clean your area, and respect the space around other students.

Where do I place the studio props—mats, blocks, towels, straps, etc.?

Please place any studio equipment in the laundry bins or shelves outside of the practice room.

Do I need to check out with the staff?

Our instructors love to hear all feedback after class—good, constructive, or just curiosity. If you have time, please stop by the front desk before you head home.

How do I sign up for my next class?

Please download our free app, or book online!

Can I leave a review?

Please. We are grateful for your support. Sometimes the greatest review is to see you return often, and with your friends and family!
